This Privacy Policy applies whenever you use
our “Services”, which means our website, mobile applications, TV applications,
and/or other services including any other domains or websites operated by Corner
Skills. “Corner Skills”, “we”, “our”, or “us” in this Privacy Policy refers to Corner
Skills Learning Solutions Pvt. Ltd. By using Corner Skills Services, you
consent to the data practices described in this policy.
COLLECTION OF YOUR DATA
The Corner Skills may collect your personal
information such as your name, We may also collect anonymous demographic
information, which is not unique to you, such as your age, gender, household
income, political affiliation, etc,,,. For better services
Data in our Logs: When you use Corner Skills’s Services, our system automatically records that information (“data in our logs”) including information that your internet browser sends whenever you search a website or your mobile application sends when you are using it going to and from different applications. The data in our logs may also include your IP address, the address of the most recent web pages you’ve visited that had our features, browser type and settings, the date and time of your request, how you used Corner Skills, and cookie data.
Your communications: Communications between
you and other users through our Services; your participation in a survey, poll,
or discussions; your request for certain features (e.g., newsletters, updates
or other products); your communication with us about employment opportunities
posted to the Services.
Computer and device information: Information
about your computer, Internet connection and mobile device, including your IP
address, operating systems, platforms, browser type, other browsing information
(connection, speed, connection type etc.), device type, device's unique device
identifier, mobile network information and the device's telephone number. This
information is used for the operation of the service, to maintain quality of
the service, and to provide general statistics regarding use of our website.
Your Public Posts: You also may provide
information (such as reviews, comments, likes, bookmarks, friends, lists, etc.)
to be published or displayed (hereinafter, "posted") on publicly
accessible areas of our Services, or transmitted to other users of our Services
or third-parties (collectively, "User Contributions"). Your User
Contributions are posted on and transmitted to others at your own risk.
Although we limit access to certain pages, you may set certain privacy settings
for such information by logging into your account profile. Please be aware that
no security measures are perfect or impenetrable (see "Security"
section below). Additionally, we cannot control the actions of other users of
our Services with whom you may choose to share your User Contributions.
Therefore, we cannot and do not guarantee that your User Contributions will not
be viewed by unauthorized persons. We may however display this information on
the Services, share it with businesses, and further distribute it to a wider
audience through third party sites and services. You should be careful about
revealing any sensitive details about yourself in such postings.
Course Data: When you enroll in and take
courses, we collect certain data including which courses, assignments and
quizzes you’ve started and completed; your exchanges with Instructors, teaching
assistants, and other learners; and essays, answers to questions, and other
items submitted to satisfy course requirements.
Learner Payment Data: If you make purchases,
we collect certain data about your purchase (such as your name and zip code) as
necessary to process your order. You must provide certain payment and billing
data directly to our payment processing partners, including your name, bank
account information, billing address, and zip code. For security, Corner Skills
does not collect or store sensitive cardholder data, such as full credit card
numbers or card authentication data.
Instructor Payment Data: If you are an Instructor,
you can link your bank account to the Services to receive payments. When you
link a payment account, we collect and use certain information, including your
payment account email address, account ID, physical address, or other data
necessary for us to send payments to your account. In order to comply with
applicable laws, we also work with trusted third parties who collect tax
information as legally required. This tax information may include residency
information, tax identification numbers, biographical information, and other
personal information necessary for taxation purposes. For security, Corner
Skills does not collect or store sensitive bank account information. The
collection, use, and disclosure of your payment, billing, and taxation data is
subject to the privacy policy and other terms of your payment account provider.
Information about Your Messages: If you
exchange messages with others through the Services, we may store them in order
to process and deliver them, allow you to manage them, and investigate possible
violations of our Terms of Use and wrongdoing in connection with the Services.
If you send information from the Services to your mobile device via SMS text
message, we may log your phone number, phone carrier, and the date and time
that the message was processed. Carriers may charge recipients for texts that
they receive.
Anonymous or De-Identified Data: We may
anonymize and/or de-identify information collected from you through the
Services or via other means, including via the use of thirdparty web analytic
tools as described below. As a result, our use and disclosure of aggregated
and/or de-identified information is not restricted by this Privacy Policy, and
it may be used and disclosed to others without limitation.
Sweepstakes, Promotions and Surveys: We may
invite you to complete a survey or participate in a promotion (like a contest,
sweepstakes, or challenge), either through the Services or a third-party
platform. If you participate, we will collect and store the data you provide as
part of participating, such as your name, email address, date of birth, or
phone number. That data is subject to this Privacy Policy unless otherwise
stated in the official rules of the promotion or in another privacy policy. The
data collected will be used to administer the promotion or survey, including
for notifying winners and distributing rewards. To receive a reward, you may be
required to allow us to post some of your information publicly (like on a
winner’s page). Where we use a third-party platform to administer a survey or
promotion, the third party’s privacy policy will apply.
USE OF YOUR DATA
Corner Skills will collect
and use your personal information to operate Corner Skills website only in
order to deliver the services which you have been requested for.
Corner Skills also may try to contact for
surveys and polls etc. to conduct research about your opinion.
But taking advantage on the Corner Skills
does not sell, rent and lease our customer information to third parties. Where
this disclose may be required for us to provide you access to our services.
to comply with our legal obligations, to
enforce our Terms of Use, to facilitate our marketing and advertising
activities, or to prevent, detect, mitigate, and investigate fraudulent or
illegal activities related to our services. We do not disclose your personal
information to third parties for their marketing and advertising purposes
without your explicit consent.
We share data that we have about you with
Instructors or teaching assistants for courses you enroll in or request
information about, so they can improve their courses for you and other
learners. This data may include things like your city, country, browser
language, operating system, device settings, the site that brought you to Corner
Skills and your activities on Corner Skills. If we collect additional data
about you (like age or gender), we may share that too. We also enable our
Instructors to implement Google Analytics on their course pages to track
sources of traffic to their courses and optimize their course pages.
Depending on your settings, your shared
content and profile data may be publicly viewable, including to other learners
and Instructors. If you ask a question to an Instructor or teaching assistant,
your information (including your name) may also be publicly viewable by other
users depending on your settings.
We may share data with trusted partners to
help perform statistical analysis, send you email or postal mail. All such
third parties are prohibited from using your personal information except to provide
these services to Corner Skills, and they are required to maintain
confidentiality of your information.
We may share personal information with our
other corporate entities and affiliates. These entities and affiliates may
market to you as a result of such sharing unless you explicitly optout.
We may keep track of the websites and pages
our users visit within Corner Skills and this data is used to deliver
customized content within Corner Skills to customers whose behavior indicates
that they are interested in particular subject area.
We will disclose your personal information,
without notice, only if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief
that such action is necessary to: (a) conformed to the edicts of the law or
comply with legal process served on Corner Skills or the site; (b) protect and
defend the rights or property of Corner Skills; and (c) act under exigent
circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of Corner Skills, or the
public.
We may use and share your data for any other
purpose and circumstances with your consent.
Data protection:-
We protect your data safeguard and help prevent unauthorized access to your
information and to maintain data security such as physical, electronic, and
managerial procedures. These safeguards take into account the sensitivity of
the information that we collect, process and store and the current state of
technology. We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the
personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we
receive it.
We
try to ensure no liability responsibility or liability to disclosure of your
information due to error in transmission, unauthorized third-party access, or
other causes beyond our control. As a user we request the user to play
important in keeping your personal information. As a Corner Skills user we
request user should not share user name, password, or other security
information of Corner Skills account with anyone If we receive instructions
using your user name and password, we will consider that you have authorized
the instructions.
Instructor or Business partners Terms:-
Corner Skills is an online marketplace platform which allows Instructors or our business partners to create and share educational courses to learners. In order to become Instructors or our business partners both need to hold Corner Skills account. By signing up with Corner Skills the Instructors or our business partners agrees to our terms and our terms are also incorporated by Reference into our Terms of Use. Any capitalized terms that aren't defined in these Terms are defined as specified in the Terms of Use.
Modulation on Corner Skills terms:-
Corner
Skills reserve all rights to change our terms at our discretion, to change, modify, add, or remove
portions at any time by posting the amended Terms on our site or within the
Services. We may provide additional notice, such as an e-mail message or
messaging within the Services, of any material changes. Unless we state
otherwise, changes are effective when posted. New versions of the Terms will be
accessible at www.Corner Skills.com or from within the Services. If you continue
to use the Services after the changes are posted, you are agreeing that the
changes apply to your continued use of the Services.
Instructor and Business partner’s responsibilities:-
Instructors or business partners will be
solely responsible for all the content that is posted by you on Corner Skills,
including but not limited to lectures, discourses, tests, examinations, coding
exercises, quizzes, practice tests, assignments, answers, and
announcements
Responsibilities of Instructors and partners:-

<!--[endif]-->Whatever the post shared by Instructors or business partners Posted
Content will not infringe or misappropriate any third party's intellectual
property rights.
SUB-LICENSE TO LEARNERS
You grant Corner Skills the rights and
authorization to sub-license your Posted Content to Learners as detailed in the
Terms of Use, directly or through third parties. This includes the right to add
captions or otherwise modify content to ensure accessibility.
Unless otherwise agreed, you have the right
to remove all or any portion of your Posted Content from the Services at any
time. Except as otherwise agreed, Corner Skills's right to sublicense the
rights in this section will terminate with respect to new users 60 days after
the Posted Content's removal. However, rights given to students before the
Posted Content's removal will continue in accordance with the terms of those licenses
(including any grants of lifetime access) and Corner Skills’s right to use such
Posted Content for marketing purposes shall survive termination.
We may record all or any part of your Posted
Content for quality control and for delivering, marketing, promoting,
demonstrating, or operating the Services. You grant Corner Skills permission to
use your name, likeness, voice, and image in connection with offering,
delivering, marketing, promoting, demonstrating, and selling the Services, your
Posted Content, or Corner Skills content, and you waive any rights of privacy,
publicity, or other rights of a similar nature, to the extent permissible under
applicable law.
SECURITY GUIDELINES
Corner Skills reserves the right to terminate
the account of Instructors, remove Posted Content, and suspend payments, for
any reason at any time, without prior notice, inter alia where:
CO-INSTRUCTORS AND TEACHING ASSISTANTS
The Corner Skills platform allows you to add
other users as co-Instructors or teaching assistants for courses that you
manage. By adding a co-Instructor or teaching assistant, you understand that
you are authorizing them to take certain actions that affect your Corner Skills
account and courses. Corner Skills is not able to advise on any questions or
mediate any disputes between you and such users. It will be the responsibility
of the Instructors to set a revenue share for the co-Instructors or Teaching
Assistants and ensure payments are made to them in a timely manner.
RELATIONSHIP WITH LEARNERS
Instructors don't have a direct contractual
relationship with learners, so the only information you'll receive about
learners is what is provided to you through the Services. You agree that you
will not use the data you receive for any purpose other than providing your
services to those learners on the Corner Skills platform, and that you won't
solicit additional personal data or store students' personal data outside the Corner
Skills platform. You will indemnify Corner Skills against any claims arising
from your use of students' personal data.
PRICING OF POSTED CONTENT
At Corner Skills, Instructors will have the
discretion to fix the base price for the courses offered by them. The
Instructors will also have the discretion to provide discounts on the courses
offered by them to Learners. Corner Skills and the Instructors can also offer
separate discount coupons to Learners over and above the initial discount
offered by the Instructors. These discount coupons can be availed by the Learners
at the time of purchasing a course with the restriction that only one discount
coupon can be used at a given time.
Alternatively, an Instructor may also choose
to offer a course for free to Learners – in which case Corner Skills will not
charge any fees from Learners.
You give us permission to share your courses
for free with our employees, with selected partners, and in cases where we need
to restore access accounts who have previously purchased your courses. You
understand that you will not receive compensation in these cases.
TRANSACTION TAXES
If a student purchases a product or service
in a country that requires Corner Skills to remit national, state, or local
sales or use taxes, value added taxes (VAT), or other similar transaction
taxes ("Transaction Taxes"), under applicable law, we
will collect and remit those Transaction Taxes to the competent tax authorities
for those sales. We may increase the sale price at our discretion where we
determine that such taxes may be due.
PROMOTIONAL POLICY
Our Promotions Policy includes several
marketing programs which will help you increase your revenue potential on Corner
Skills. We hold the rights to select Instructors for these marketing programs
at our discretion.
REVENUE SHARE AND PAYMENTS
Our endeavor is to ensure that Learners get
high quality content from our Instructors and we understand that it is only
possible if the Instructors earn a sizeable amount of revenue from the payments
received from the Learners. We want to become an online marketplace platform
known for delivering high quality content in its courses provided by the
Instructors.
With the above goal in mind, we have derived
a simple revenue sharing model for our Instructors. From the amount paid by
Learners as course fees for a course provided by an Instructor, the Instructor
will receive 85% of the course fees received from Learners. All payment
processing fees, any applicable transaction taxes or any other applicable taxes
or fees such as handling fees or administrative fees will be deducted from the
85% revenue earned by the Instructor. The revenue share of Corner Skills will
be the remaining 15% of the fees paid by the Learners. If we change this
payment rate, we will provide you a 30 day notice via email or by posting a
notice through our Services.
Corner Skills understands the value of its
Instructors, and hence it will not charge any commission on any Learner traffic
generated by the Instructors through the links generated on Corner Skills’s
platform (“Inorganic Traffic”). However, all payment processing fees, any
applicable transaction taxes or any other applicable taxes or fees such as
handling fees or administrative fees will be deducted from the revenue earned
by the Instructors through the Inorganic Traffic.
Corner Skills makes all Instructor payments
in U.S. dollars (USD) regardless of the currency with which the sale was made.
You will assume transaction processing fees, including foreign currency
conversion fees and wiring fees.
We pay our Instructors through PayPal or bank
transfer. To ensure timely payments are made to you, you need to link your bank
account with your Corner Skills account. Please ensure that correct PayPal
account or bank details are provided. In the event any payment is transferred
by Corner Skills to a wrong account based on the information by you, you
understand and agree that Corner Skills shall not be held responsible for the
erroneous transfer. Our endeavor will be to transfer the payments within 45
days of the end of the month in which the course was sold to Learners.
You must also provide any tax documentation
and identifying information such as name, age, email address, etc. necessary
for payment of amounts due, and you agree that we have the right to withhold
appropriate taxes from your payments. We reserve the right to withhold payments
or impose other penalties if we do not receive proper identifying information
from you. You understand and fully agree that you are ultimately responsible
for any taxes on your income.
We reserve the right not to pay any money to
the Instructor in the event of fraud, violations of intellectual property
rights, or any other violations identified at the Instructor’s end by Corner
Skills.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
We may authorize you to use our Intellectual
Property such as our Trademarks during your relationship with us as a published
Instructor subject to the requirements below:
ACCOUNT DELETION RULES
You may delete your account at any point of
time by sending us a request @ rb@Cornerskills.com. We will evaluate your
account and satisfy that there are no pending payments or any other issues
remaining in the account before proceeding to delete the account. We will try
to ensure that all pending payments are cleared before the account is deleted.
However, there may be occasions when the payment may be cleared later. We will
inform you about such instances in advance and ensure that all undisputed
payments are cleared timely. You agree that if Learners have previously
enrolled in your courses, your name and that Posted Content will remain
accessible to those Learners even after your account is deleted.
NATURE OF RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN YOU AND CORNER
SKILLS
You and Corner Skills agree that no joint
venture, partnership, employment, contractor, or agency relationship exists
between us.
